Originally established in 1969 as Ord-BT, Pendal is an Australian investment manager that aims to deliver superior investment returns for clients through active management. They actively manage investments in Australian equities and listed property, Australian and international fixed interest, global equities, multi-asset portfolios and alternative investments.

In 2023, Pendal became part of Perpetual Limited (ASX:PPT). Through the Perpetual and Pendal brands, Barrow Hanley, J O Hambro, Regnan, Trillium and TSW, they have a presence in the US, UK and Europe.
 Fund/Strategy Overview:
Pendal Short Term Income Securities Fund is an actively managed fixed income strategy benchmarked against the Bloomberg AusBond Bank Bill Index. The Fund aims to provide a return, before fees, costs and taxes, that exceeds the benchmark while maintaining capital stability, regular income and low variability of returns. It invests primarily in Australian cash and fixed interest securities, including short-term money market instruments and medium-term floating and fixed rate securities. These may include government, bank, corporate, asset-backed and other securities held directly or indirectly. Pendal seeks to add value through multiple strategies and investment research, including the shape of the money market curve and credit management. Its credit process combines top-down analysis of economic and market data with bottom-up analysis of issuer earnings, cashflow volatility, balance sheet strength, business diversity, industry position and valuation. Derivatives may be used for risk reduction, hedging or market exposure.
