Originally established in 1969 as Ord-BT, Pendal is an Australian investment manager that aims to deliver superior investment returns for clients through active management. They actively manage investments in Australian equities and listed property, Australian and international fixed interest, global equities, multi-asset portfolios and alternative investments.

Pendal Active Conservative Fund is benchmarked against a composite benchmark based on its neutral asset allocation and relevant published indices. The Fund invests across Australian and international equities, listed property, fixed interest, cash and alternative investments, with a substantial weighting towards defensive assets. Pendal actively adjusts asset allocations within specified ranges and manages currency exposure. International fixed interest and property are generally hedged to Australian dollars, while equity and alternative exposures are generally partially hedged. Derivatives may be used for hedging, risk management and market exposure.
